The inspiration for Plant Mama took root the day our founder, Logan, discovered her family member had unknowingly been sold a vigorous weed disguised as a cute tree. What started as a charming addition to her family’s garden quickly turned into an invasive menace, overtaking the yard and outcompeting the surrounding plants.
Unfortunately, this kind of predatory plant selling is all too common in South Florida. With so many people dreaming of lush landscapes, it’s easy to end up with the wrong plants—ones that become unmanageable over time or don’t fare well in our subtropical climate.
Today, Plant Mama is proud to offer plant care and design services for both residential and commercial clients across the South Florida area. Logan combines her scientific training with creativity to bring to life vibrant, healthy, and sustainable green spaces in your living room, rental property, or business. Whether you need a helping hand while traveling, expert advice on plant health, or a complete design overhaul, Plant Mama is here to turn your vision into reality.

Logan is a published plant scientist with both a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Horticultural Science from the University of Florida. She is a proud South Florida native who is committed to promoting the use of native plants in local landscapes to restore the connection between people and the plants that surround them.
With experience spanning academic, government, private industry, and nonprofit research settings, Logan brings a blend of science-backed expertise and heartfelt passion to every project she touches. Her work is grounded in the belief that plant care isn’t just maintenance, it’s an art form & a science.
